Manchester United vs Manchester City FA Cup Semi Final Match Preview

Sunday will decide whether Manchester would be painted red or blue. The semi final of the FA Cup 2010/11 at Wembley has all the ingredients of becoming a super furious match. United defender Vidic has already said the City are obsessed with trophies and would be very hard to beat.

City, are, indeed obsessed with trophies as the owner has already spent hundreds of millions in the club and expects results instantaneously. And FA Cup would probably be the easier to get as if they beat Manchester United on Sunday, they would meet either of Stoke City or Blackburn Rovers. Stoke take on Blackburn on Saturday at the same venue.

Manchester City's inspirational leader this season, Carlos Tevez, might miss this fixture as he was injured during the 3-0 battering by the Liverpool side on Monday. City manager Roberto Mancini has called upon Mario Balotelli to step up to the occasion and fiill in the void due to the absence of Carlos Tevez.

Even Manchester United would be without their striker Wayne Rooney as he is suspended for this match. But they still have Ryan Giggs, who just cannot seem to stop. He has been absolutely necessary for United this campaign. Champions League quarter final against Chelsea was another of those performances by the Welshman.

Javier Hernandez is also another guy who has been in superb touch since he arrived. He has adapted fast to this very tough league.

Match Predictions

Incredibly hard to predict this, but City does not look like winning it, right now, at the moment.
